Telehealth: Online Sessions
Telehealth for psychology offers you more flexibility and convenience in how you access mental health support.
It enables you to access support from the comfort of your home. This can make appointments easier to attend, as it reduces travel time to and from appointments.
It can also make support easier for people who would otherwise find it difficult to access face-to-face services, such as those living in regional or remote communities or people with either mobility or transport difficulties.
“I encourage clients to develop compassion for themselves and I enjoy being able to see clients grow and overcome their challenges to improve their health and wellbeing”.
— Dr Storm Cory, Clinical & Forensic Psychologist

Storm conducts all Telehealth consultations via Zoom. Zoom is an audio and video-conferencing platform currently being used by a wide variety of organisations to conduct conferences, meetings and appointments while remaining at home. This platform requires access to an internet enabled device such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. For full use, a microphone and web camera are required.
To access Telehealth consultations, it is recommended that you have access to a quiet, private space; and the appropriate device, i.e. smartphone, laptop, iPad, computer, with a camera, microphone and speakers; and a reliable broadband internet connection.
A Telehealth consultation may be subject to limitations such as an unstable network connection which may affect the quality of the psychology session. In addition, there may be some services for which Telehealth is not appropriate or effective.
